Reducing and managing stress is critical to maintaining overall health and vitality because it is one of the leading contributors to heart problems, anxiety, soreness, and any number of health problems. To lower blood pressure, tension, and anxiety, you need to incorporate stress-reducing activities into your daily schedule.

Exercise is a great way to reduce stress. The endorphins released during exercise have a natural stress-reducing effect and promote a sense of vitality and well being. Yoga is a great way to maintain your stress levels; It stimulates the body, mind, and spirit together to foster a tremendous sense of oneness and harmony with yourself and your surroundings.  One of my favorite poses when I’m stressed are child pose, mainly because it causes you to calm down and breathe, it also aids into relaxation which you probably are in need of if you’re stressing out :)

Also when I am really stressed out sometimes you need to sweat it out, at least I do, and doing a bikram yoga or kickboxing class, or even just going on a great run on the beach or through a favorite part of your town can do the trick!

Hope you have a great day – & remember to just breathe…

We are in the process of completely re-doing our website (yogasyz.com).  I’m looking for some great health tips, and I was thinking that some of you out there must have some favorite blogs that would offer what I’m looking for.  Good websites work too, whatever you got, I’m very interested in hearing your imput!

oo.. also if you know any good teachers that have blogs, that would be great too!  Truthfully anything you think we might like or benefit from I would love to hear about!

THANKS!!!

It happens every year. You make a New Year’s resolution to get in shape and you run out and join a gym. At first, you do well sticking to a workout regimen, but before long, you probably find yourself bored with the routine and in no time, you’re back to your old ways.  So, now we’re 7 months into the “new year”!  Can you believe it!??  Lets make some changes!

One of the reasons people fail in their workout schemes is because they fail to plan for enjoyment. They approach working out like a chore instead of the invigorating, refreshing activity it should be. People who enjoy their workouts are much more likely to stick to a regimen and reap the benefits of a healthy, active lifestyle. One of the best ways to enjoy a workout is to move out of the gym and into the outdoors!

Exercising outside is shown to have many benefits you just can’t get in a gym. The fresh air, sunlight, and comforting surroundings of an outdoor yoga workout will help you gain more enjoyment from your exercise. Yoga strengthens the body, increases flexibility, and helps build a unity of mind, body, and spirit–especially when you’re directly in contact with the natural world.

Living in Southern California we are blessed with beautiful beaches, and one of my favorite times to go running is on the beach when the sun is going down.  There are always yoga classes going on at Swamis, one of the beaches i love to run at.. also a popular surf spot in Cardiff, California.  I think this is one of the best ways to enjoy a workout, move it outside, get some friends or go for it solo, and do what you love to do.  After my run i find a spot at swamis and do some stretching in the sand (before making it into the water), it makes my day that much better, and I would recommend it to everyone!

Yoga paws are also a great compliment to exercising outside.  We have many customers that use them exclusively for that.  Another great use is for those teachers out there, they are easy to use while walking around in class, and also don’t distract or take away from any adjustments or help you might be doing.

Go outside and get some sunshine today.. you’ll thank yourself :)

Yoga is well known and highly regarded as a way to unlock the energy within. Yoga can serve as a type of meditation and is meant to stimulate and direct the energy flow of your body. Yoga exercises relieve stress, sharpen your mind, and leave you feeling deeply relaxed. But did you also know that yoga is a great tool for weight loss as well?

It’s true! Though yoga is not as high-intensity as, say, aerobics, it is an effective and enjoyable part of a weight loss program. The slow movements, extended poses, and rhythmic breathing of yoga have a dramatic effect on your body. Yoga exercises lengthen, stretch, and strengthen all the muscles in your body. Over time you will not only become more flexible, but you’ll notice greater definition and tone in your muscles.

Yoga is important for weight loss not only for its exercises, but as an overall step toward total health. When your muscles, joints, and tendons are stretched, relaxed, and toned, you are far less likely to experience major injury. Too many people are sidelined from their weight loss programs by injuries received while exercising. To prevent injury, incorporate yoga along with aerobic exercise and proper diet into your daily life.

Because yoga is a system that unlocks the reservoir of energy within you, you will find yourself more invigorated and energized as a result. Because of this, you will have more energy to pursue other active interests that will complement your weight loss program and help you reach your goals. Yoga-Syz has been helping people reach their weight loss goals for years by promoting the benefits of yoga and creating amazing yoga products like Yoga-Paws. Order yours today along with an instructional video (including two time-saving workouts) and you can be on your way to reaching your weight loss goals in no time.

Setting the proper tone for a yoga workout is important. Yoga is definitely an intense workout that tones and strengthens muscles while helping you lose weight, but it is also a way to reduce stress and relax. Many people find yoga a meditative activity that benefits the mind and spirit as much as the body.

To set the proper mood for your workout, find a quiet, private place that is free from distractions. A quiet room in your home or perhaps a tranquil outdoor setting is perfect. If you’re on the road, your hotel room is a good place if you don’t know of any parks or beaches nearby. The sun’s rays will do you good outdoors, but if you’re inside, you may want to dim the lights a little.

Finally, peaceful, melodic music provides the ideal background for a relaxing, invigorating yoga workout. Yoga-Syz recommends listening to a CD of mantras and chants especially geared toward yoga. Yoga is as much about balancing your inner being as it is about toning your body, and the songs, chants, and mantras of Satyaa and Pari can help point you in the right direction. We are now offering their fourth album for sale and you can feel free to listen to a sample track online.

Yoga mats are a necessary accessory. They provide the stability, grip, and cushion you need to enjoy a proper yoga workout. Yoga mats are vital to maintaining a safe, healthy yoga environment. But what about when you travel? Yoga mats are too large and awkward to bring with you on the plane, so how do you enjoy your yoga workout away from home?

The answer is Yoga-Paws. Yoga-Paws are similar to traditional yoga mats. They are designed to provide the cushion and grip you need while maintaining a safe workout environment. Best of all, they are much, much smaller than a yoga mat! Yoga-Paws are like small yoga mats worn individually on each hand and foot. You have all the traction and safety you need without all the extra material.

This makes them ideal for travel. Yoga-Paws that are normally stored in a drawer at home can be packed up in your suitcase and are so small that you won’t have to leave anything else behind to get them in. They weight next to nothing, so you’ll never even notice they’re there. If you travel frequently and are looking for a way to stay healthy and fit on the road, Yoga-Paws are just what you’ve been searching for.

Even if you’ve never done yoga before, Yoga-Paws can help you get started. You can order a set of Yoga-Paws from Yoga-Syz.com that comes with an instructional video produced by Gail Getzwiller, an exceptional yoga instructor with more than three decades of experience. Before you set out on the road again, order your own Yoga-Paws in order to stay fit and happy away from home.

Travel Safe :)
